Meet Pepper!

Allergies or cold or whatever Sean was suffering the other day be damned (we're not sure what it was, but the cats have never bothered him before nor did his parents' cats bother him when he was staying with them, so I doubt it really was the cats...we just covered our bases with the baths yesterday), he's wanted a pet of his own for a while. He loves my cats, but they're just that -- my cats. They're old men already. They don't play and the only snuggle when they're good and ready to snuggle; not a minute before and not a moment after. So we decided to venture out to the animal shelter and take advantage of their $20.13 for the first month of 2013 adoption fee. The result? Pepper! A very excitable and playful three month old kitty girl (we think; her paperwork lists her gender as "spayed" which is typically what they call a female cat that has been sterilized. But..."her" "bits" look more like boy "bits" when she's rolling around on her back...? I guess we'll double check when we take her to our vet next month...just so that we're not calling him 'her'...
