Time for a Long Weekend Getaway

The rain we’ve had recently is unusual for September - particularly so many days. But the garden is quite literally soaking it up and many plants are in full bloom - including this lovely yellow climbing rose.

But that was this morning. Now I’m sitting in the Portland International Airport (PDX) waiting for a flight to California. We’ll spend a long weekend in Palm Springs where it’s currently a very sunny and dry 92 degrees. It will feel fabulous after this cold, rainy spell!
