The beast from the ferns...

So this Red Stag is the reason my daughter and I ended up a tree!!

We were photographing a Red in the mist and this stag came out of the fern to the right of us. He really didn't like us being where we were! So we had no option but to go up a tree!

The rut is due to start soon, so even more reason to keep your wits about you at all times.

I've always been taught to stay near a tree when photographing deer, especially stags or bucks. We always keep our distance! I use a 600 lens and always respect!
