Husky's game

So, we travelled from Vancouver to here in Seattle for a few nights.  We had booked tickets for the college football game - the Washington Huskies versus the Cal Bears.  Not even 10mins had been played and there was an almighty lightning storm. The storm was so bad, the game was postponed and everyone was asked to leave their seats (metal) and head into the stairwell area for safety. The lightning flashes were non-stop, lighting the sky with streaks of pink and purple hues. The game ended up being resumed 2hrs39mins later at 10.30pm. Reports stated that there had been over 1200 lightning strikes in only 1hr and it was the worst the city had seen. It even put the power out in the stadium...hence this photo whilst we were waiting. We stayed till midnight, which was half-time but the game went on till about half two, with the home team losing in the end. T had been waiting 20yrs to get to one of these games...well this one was certainly eventful!
