In The Occupied Territory

My mother used to work in a dry cleaning shop called Claremont Cleaners. She worked in various branches. One of them in Correction Wynd in Aberdeen was near a furniture shop called, we think, Smarts. The chap on the right of the picture was the manager of said store. He contacted my mother’s boss to see is she would be allowed out of her work for a wee while to pose for a publicity shot for the local paper. She was pretending she picked the luck key for the treasure chest. The other young lady in the picture worked for the furniture place. This picture was taken in 1966x I remember it well, when my mother, she is the lady in the black coat with the beehive hairdo, was aged just 35 or 36.
I was up seeing her last night/ early hours of today after work and she was going through old photos.
