Lakeland Dipper (further afield)

Between Wells and Holkham

I hope this youngster is okay. I went out to catch the high tide at Wells and saw this pup on its own above the tideline with the tide starting to retreat. A woman nearby said she had tried to encourage it back in but it had come out again. She had rung the cafe at the car park and they had got in touch with the seal rescue. I tried to coax it in with me by example as I went in to swim but to no avail and I didn’t want to stress it any more. It was a great swim but as I got out I hung around to protect it from people who weren’t managing their dogs. As I headed back I met the chap from the seal rescue and pointed out where it was located. I don’t know what he’ll have done but it wouldn’t have been okay staying where it was.
