Wednesday: Church Island through Trees
Very warm and pleasant all day, temperature around 18°C.
Needed a few hardware items so went to Stermat at Treborth, couldn’t get any replacement jam pot lids but bought quite a few plants - Skimmia japonica “Rubella”, Edelweiss, Rudbeckia “Little Goldstar”, Gaura, Gaillardia “Kobold goblin”, Hemerocallis “Custard Candy”, bare rooted Wallflowers and grasses Carex and a sedge. Flowers are to keep us and the pollinators hoppy through autumn and winter!
Drove back onto the island and stopped to take today’s Blip of Church Island, the Menai Strait and the mountains on the mainland in the distance.
Quick shop in the Co-op then an afternoon of transferring new plants into proper compost and larger pots.
MrD has gone on a motorbike adventure...
Goodnight all x
