Almost harvest!

We've had a fabulous day today - we started with drive towards Brighton, stopped at Brighton garden centre for a coffee - it was a Wyvale centre when we were last here, 2 years ago, now it is Dobbies! Then to another favourite, Wych Cross garden centre, near East Grinstead, also a Wyvale when we left, now a Coolings centre. It used to be an independent centre and a specialist rose nursery, then it was bought over by Wyvale, now it has changed again. Our third centre was Nags Hall centre at Godstone, a Knights centre, and it still is :-) We passed Dorking garden centre, a Wyvale 2 years ago, now a Hillier centre - it seems all the Wyvale centres we knew have been taken over. All change!
Denbies vineyard however, looked much as before, with the grapes ripening and looking marvellous. We didn't stop for coffee - after 3 garden centres and 2 coffees we had had enough! We simply drove through the vineyard to see the ripening grapes.
We finished the day with a catch-up with special people I worked with at my last school - a wonderful end to the day.
