My mother has quite a lot of jewelry--her own from before, gifts from Terisa and Lora--but she still seems to enjoy "shopping" for it in other people's rooms. She seemed very happy with this lovely necklace.

That happiness seemed to extend outward. I saw her have more positive interactions with other residents than I've ever noticed. With one woman she entered into a long, drawn out loop of mutual appreciation: "thank you," "you're so kind," "what a nice woman."
