Puttanesca Pizza

We took an organised half day trip up into the hills to visit the picturesque village of Frigiliana. It was full of pretty white washed houses with terracotta pan tiled roofs and blue doors. Little shops and bars nestled in the tiny streets. The views were panoramic.

Nerja is a seaside town again with houses as above. Although there were more shops and restaurants here. We stopped at an Italian eatery for a chilled beer and pizza. The Europa Balcony is here in Nerja. It was created by an earthquake and has created a small cliff top peninsula with more stunning views out to see. You can also spot many little beach coves some of them only reachable by boat.

I really like it here in Nerja, it feels old and Spanish, no themed pubs to be seen anywhere (phew).

The rep was from Austrian and had lived here in Spain for 12 years, she was full of good crack and very knowledgeable about the area too. We got back to the hotel at 4pm after being out since 9, so I thought that was good value for a half day.

The photo is of Raphael, he was our waiter at the restaurant where we had beer and Puttanesca Pizza.
