Kiting in the dark :)
Sundays are usually pretty boring days, I usually get up at 8:45, go and teach some banjo and hang around the music shop for the day and then head home to wash the dishes and tidy the house. Today wasn't too much different to start with, except Charlotte was in work today so I woke up at least at 5:30, granted I didn't get out of bed til 8:30 but it was a little different.
Had a really good time teaching today, one student got a guitar for Christmas so had a new rejuvenation and had been practicing lots which is always rewarding as a music teacher. Sometimes I think I'd much prefer to be doing something music related as a career instead of engineering (particularly recently, been having something of a quiet quarter life crisis worrying that I'm actually not all that good at engineering at all think it might just be January blues).
Anyway after teaching I went home, and made the house roughly 34% less fun by taking down the christmas tree. Then received a call to go and play out at the beach.
Out I went, to be greeted by a bootfull of homemade kites!
None of us had flown a kite before, but we gave it a good go with a homemade lidl bag kite. It went surprisingly well. Charlotte's friend Louisa , her boyfriend Fenton, and I had a lovely evening of kite flying before Fenton's brother rang to say he was stuck somewhere out in the sticks after cramping up on his 55 mile on a whim bike ride.
This picture was taken either right before the phone call or right after, can't remember which.
Needless to say them two headed off to save him, and I headed home. A lovely evening was had none the less :)
