After Seurat
It's rare that children who finish their work do it well, but sometimes it does happen. I was amazed at how well this child did with his pointillist rendition of a playground sketch which he had previously completed. I usually give three lessons to complete this work because, as you can probably imagine, it takes a long time to fill a page of A4 paper with dots. This boy finished in two lessons and, as you can see, he made a grand job of it. Two other boys finished within the allotted time as well and they also produced high quality work. I am going to give the whole class extra time because they are all working so hard. I won't, however, be giving them the two years which it took Seurat to complete A Sunday Afternoon On The Island Of La Grande Jatte.
