Sunflower and a bee.
Another busy day today!
Up at 6.30am as bed delivery was scheduled between 7.00-1100am!
If we hadn’t been up and about you can sure as eggs they would have come at the earliest point!!
Anyway the bed arrived with the two delivery men at 10.30am.
They duly took out the old one plus mattress ( the latter will be recycled for other things) and installed the new one.
We’d had to take all the pictures off the wall in the hall, stairs, and landing as well as temporarily move the new set of drawers into what passes for an “office” and can double as a small bedroom before they came.
Then mid afternoon we were able to finally make the bed ready for occupation tonight. Apparently they have to be left for two hours after installation before that can be done.
Meanwhile I went to visit a friend who had undergone hip replacement surgery last Thursday. She lives alone but has a temporary carer coming in for an hour each morning.
However she came to the door (she lives in a ground floor flat in a small block with a security entrance) and was managing well with her arm crutches.
I did not stay too long as she was tired. I’ll pop in again before the end of the week.
I realised I hadn’t taken a photo so went out into the garden just before tea to see what I could manage.
My sunflowers are still in full bloom so I quickly took the shot and only afterwards did I see I’d caught a bee on the right hand side of the picture. It had been in the sunflower head not long before, but evidently decided to buzz off (sorry couldn’t resist that!)
Looking forward to testing the bed and also watching the latest episode of “The Capture” on BBC1 after the usual “Holby City”. Still miss the days of Anton Meyer shimmering in and out!
