Southern Hawker
An early start for me as I had to collect a couple of dogs at 7.15 am
A bit chilly for our walk on the Common but the sun soon came out and I decided to grab a couple of hours at Stover.
The kingfisher is still being very elusive but there were plenty of butterflies and damselflies to watch.
I was just about to give up on anything different when this Southern Hawker zoomed past me onto a shrub close by.
For once the light was good and, if I'd had a pair of scissors handy that reed head would have disappeared.
A busy afternoon printing images for the start of the new season at my club and no time to enjoy another very warm day.
