Road Closures

The road closures in Edinburgh City Centre are not as one would hope, for resurfacing and getting rid of all the lethal potholes but to allow 4 weeks of filming to take pace for the Hollywood Blockbuster Fast and Furious 9.

Today the road closures included Chamber Street, Guthrie Street and surrounding side streets, plus George Street in the City Centre. On Friday it’s the turn of The Royal Mile. Last Wednesday 20 roads were shut round the University area.
Perhaps every one inconvenienced by the rerouting of traffic should be recompensed with a handout from the box office takings when the film is released.

I was not inconvenienced as I was on Shank’s pony to drop off some clothes at the local charity shop. Indeed the sight of this enormous crane in Chamber Street provided my blip.
