What a face!

We ran into some friends in the ferry lineup. They'd just picked up this adorable little pup. You can tell by the owner's smile that she's chuffed with her. She and her husband lost their dog in a devastating house fire a few months ago, and she said that was the most difficult thing about the fire. They lost everything, their house, mobile home, two cars, but somehow their 23 year-old cat survived and their passports and a few other important documents were saved. A terrible time for them. They're doing okay.
We had a long breakfast with Bill and Dan. We shared some more stories about their brother and laughed so hard at times that my stomach muscles hurt. Bill's a longtime friend, but we just met Dan at the Celebration, so it was good to get to know him too. We got home just before 6 pm. An emotional few days, but we're so happy that we were able to make this trip.
