Fishing

Our dear friend J celebrated her birthday a couple of weeks ago and mine is in a few weeks time. So I suggested that we try to arrange a weekend away (we haven’t managed to organise our usual getaway/holiday this year). I asked the boys to go through dates together as S plays a lot of golf and for Mr C it will be the rugby season. Two weeks ago while I was searching the internet for some ideas, S rang Mr C to say he had booked a hotel and restaurants for 2 nights and it was to be a surprise for J and I.

I was fortunate to be able to leave work a little earlier so Mr C could pick me up and we could head off for our weekend away. I initially thought it could be in the New Forest but due to the eta I guessed, correctly, that it could be Sandbanks, Poole.

The hotel has all round views across the sea and harbour and we made the most of the amazing weather to sit on the terrace and have a drink. We could have easily been somewhere in the Med it was so warm. We then went to our room, unpacked, showered and met for another drink and sunset watch before having supper.

A perfect start to our weekend away. A couple of extras.
