Country churchyard

This is not a church I visit often but it is part of the benefice and we rang the bells today. The church is unusual in that it is a mile or so from the village it serves. The centre of the village may have moved since medieval times due to plague or land reclamation. I have not been able to find out the reason but the church now is isolated in the middle of fields. It is all the more picturesque for that.

The rest of the day has been taken up with preparations for our imminent departure and another sojourn in the Pyrénées Orientales.
