Clematis heracleifolia 'Wyevale'

The mid blue hyacinth shaped flowers are borne in clusters and have a gorgeous perfume. This clump-forming clematis has woody stems.
My friend Joan gave me this years ago, it always confused me that it's not a climber, but o so pretty.
