The Mount & Fleetwood Parkrun

Lytham Parkrun was cancelled today because of a steam fair, so people scattered themselves around nearby parkruns. Some of us went to Fleetwood. It’s a flat run out and back along the esplanade. There was no wind today, so we were very lucky. High winds along the seafront can turn Fleetwood into a bit of a tough run.

This pavilion is on the opposite side of the road and I suppose I could have taken it from a better angle, but I wasn’t prepared to faff about and miss the run. This was a quick snap taken shortly before the start and shortly before I ensured that my watch had got its GPS signal.

Love my parkruns. :-) 

Update: The pavilion is over 100 years old and it is a grade II listed building. It is only open on special days. I've been in it once.
