Lunchtime with grandchildren.

Our grandchildren love their grandad’s Grape and Sultana Bread. As soon as he took the first loaf a few years ago it was suitably demolished for lunchtime. They spread it with “Pear and Apple Spread” from our local Health Food Store.
Each of them using their own suitable child’s sized knife.
This has never varied no matter how many times we go to see them.
A chorus of “Have you brought the Grandad bread? “
It was so popular grandad made some for our young friend’s little girl (aged 2) and she loved it as well! It is dairy free as our 3rd grandchild, Toby, is allergic to dairy products.
I took the photo at lunchtime as they were absorbed with their tasks at hand! (Sammy is just out of the photo shot as our son and his wife prefer their faces not to be seen on social media.) Now we are waiting to see if Bonnie 5 months will also love the bread as much as the others. She is not yet on solid food. But only a couple more weeks will rectify that.
Here we are on the way back up the M5 listening to “Last Night of the Proms” on Radio 3 with a spectacular sunset in the western sky.
It has been a lovely sunny clear blue sky warm day
