Migrant

Long-time Aldershot FC supporter, Mr DA and his friend Chris, a long-time Stockport FC supporter, travelled up to the Stockport today to watch their two teams play (they were going to be watching from different ends of the ground). Anyway, while the house was quiet, I did some editing this morning but, as the weather was so nice, I decided to have a bit of 'me time' this afternoon and go for a stroll round Pulborough Brooks.

They've opened a new wetland trail since I was last there and this Migrant Hawker dragonfly and I had it to ourselves. It was fairly quiet in general there today, people-wise, except for a bunch of twitchers at Jupp's View looking out for a visiting Red-necked Phalarope (which was a new one on me).

As well as the hawker, I also saw an Emperor dragonfly and a few Painted Lady butterflies (one in Extras, along with a sparrow and a dove), and a group of seven roe deer).

I then went and undid the good work of the walk with a big slice of carrot cake in the cafe ;)
