Overdue.

As there are so many butterflies in the garden at the moment, I was curious to see if there were any at one of my best butterfly sites in Rotherham. The answer was no - I saw only a few. Hardly surprising as there were very few flowers for them to feed on. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find quite a lot of dragonflies hawking along the woodland edges, and I was delighted that this Migrant Hawker settled and remained still long enough for me to get in close and get compose a few shots, of which this was the best. It's been ages since I photographed a dragonfly! They are such magical creatures
