The Fete

Our annual village fete - same time every year and always a gamble with the weather. This year we were very lucky with a lovely sunny day.
This year we had and new ‘game’ which involved large nails stuck in a bale. It looked rather like some instrument of torture.
The highlights of the afternoon - apart from the bale - were the delicious home made cakes, and the kids races. Their enjoyment of a simple running race or egg and spoon makes it all worthwhile!
