A Tad Aggressive?

Since all I've ever seen on this dog walk to Hadstock are other dog walkers and joggers, and they aren't trampling the crops or wielding hand guns or anything.

Quite in contrast to some much less threatening signs over the road from here, also asking dog walkers to keep to the paths but explaining about the farmers commitment to wildlife conservation ....

Leads me to speculate why anyone would put up a sign like this...what sort of bad experience do you think this farmer has had? Trying to understand other people's point of view is something I probably spend far too much of my time doing....
