Mudflats

B and I took the boy for a walk to Preston Island from Low Valleyfield this afternoon.

We passed by the ash lagoons (reclaimed land, created from the coal burning operations at the power statiom) and several ruins of early 19th century industry including a coal mine whose buildings were later used to accommodate an illicit distillery.

It was lovely to stroll along the forth and the mutflats provided some dramatic shots.
