Spuds, with knobs on

Spent a couple of hours working at the allotment this afternoon, nice to be there after so long. The grass really needed a short back & sides but the strimmer’s batteries couldn’t handle that so I settled for a trim and have the batteries back on charge ahead of my next visit. Chatted away to our neighbour for a while and it seems it wasn’t a very productive summer as most of her veggies were eaten by various beasts of the field and sky! Ended up swapping a couple of pounds of Pink Fir Apple spuds for a gooseberry bush. Think that was a good deal and now just have to decide where to plant it. Best of all though, I picked a ripe fig. Our first ever!
