The end of Christmas - one last look
The first weekend of January has a few associations - FA Cup upsets, darts from the Lakeside on the telly and the end of the Christmas decs.
I took the tree to its last resting place recycling point earlier on, conveniently now only 5 minutes walk up the road - hardly a needle dropped which is good (you can't beat a Nordmann for that).
The "vintage" Woolworths foil chains are now also packed away for another year, and it's a grey January Sunday - yes, that would be New Year all right. I've made sure to wish my friend Shona a Happy Birthday today, the 6th of January must be an odd day for a birthday.
