A very special day

This afternoon one of my best friends gave her inaugural professorial lecture. I was deeply honoured that she asked me to introduce her. We’ve worked together for 18 years. I’ve learned so much from her and she’s an all round lovely and inspiring individual. This is one of the reasons it’s a special day. But the other reason is that she’s terrified of dogs and has never met Mr L. Mr L (and Mr Mags) came to collect me from work. Prof S decided she would come and look at Mr L but as you can see from the picture, there was a bit of bonding going on! This also made it a special day!
