For The Love Of The Game...

A foggy Sunday morning and Hough End football pitches in Chorlton play host to simultaneous matches on up to twenty-four pitches. These games are usually played at amateur level between pubs, clubs and mates. As a kid, I kicked a ball around these fields some forty-five years ago and nothing much has changed. I wanted to create the nostalgic feel that this morning held for me. The morning fog created shadowy distant figures that I imagined could have been ghosts of yesteryear congregating for the love of the game. My intention is that this image, although taken just a few hours ago, looks like it may have been created many decades earlier. Apps used: Snapseed and Superimpose.
