Learning to love lovage

An outing to the Botanics under the auspices of WBRA to meet the Shoreline staff and in particular Martine Borge, their Scottish Native Plant Horticulturist. There to discuss matters botanical and strategies to be adopted to maintain perennial coastline plants on our new strip of ground beside the cycle runway.
We even had a hands on session collecting seed and planting it out. The SK was less than enthusiastic. These are weeds, she hissed at me. If I saw them, I’d pull them out.
I managed to shush her before she asked about dahlias.
