Stealth Squirrel

Dear Diary,

Yes, I know that we call this little one a chipmunk now but they were also known as ground squirrels at one time.  I was at the kitchen sink when I saw movement in the bush outside the window.  I thought it was a bird but there was the chipmunk, hoping from branch to branch, eating the tiny berries.  It was very hard to photograph him, the leaves offered good cover.

Only 34F on the back porch this morning!  Our lowest temperature yet.  No frost but nearly so.  It's coming but, please, not quite yet!
