Towel man

The promenade here runs from Torremolinos to Benalmádena Costa and is approximately 11 km long. It attracts many people including dog walkers, joggers, skateboarders, couples, families and ‘towel men’. This is what Tom has named them. Chaps from Morocco who try to sell pirated goods, such as MK and LV handbags arranged neatly on large towels and sheets. Periodically they scoop up the towels/ sheets and disappear following a warning from a lookout who has spotted the local police patrol. The police patrol pass by quite frequently and it’s amusing to watch.

We paid a quick visit to Bil Bil Castle, its an Arabic style structure that is now the Town Hall holding art exhibitions throughout the week and weddings at the weekend.

More reading and listening to music around the pool today it’s been over cast but still very pleasant. Loads of folks went home yesterday and today, the newbies are arriving in dribs and drabs looking pale...
