Metellina sp.

Almost certainly Metellina Segmenta due to being found in late summer autumn, but impossible to tell from M. mengei from a field id.
Whichever, they're everywhere at the moment.
The tell tale identification tip is the 'tuning fork' marking on the carapace.

A visit to the gym, a wet walk with Missy, newsletter written, new router sorted for Internet (great customer service from Sky), a dry walk with Missy (lots of drop training) and a new vegetable bake recipe getting trialed for supper.
