Sunflower surprise

Thanks to a tip off from Ron who has some wonderful photos here I walked a slightly different walk than normal to see these sunflowers.  

Apparently they are being grown as cover for partridges (for shooting purposes).  In the meantime they are attracting a great deal of attention from the insects.
