Norwich, Wells and Friends
Another full day, up early to go to Norwich. We started at the Cathedral and I have put a couple of extras in. The photo of the photo of an elderly man was part of a photographic exhibition, and I loved it, as much for the title as the photo itself. It was entitled ‘She’s Shoe Shopping’. Also included is the Pelican Lectern. Apparently, according to legend a Pelican feeds her young from the blood from her breast, quite weird, but the lectern was beautiful!
From there we hit the outskirts of the city to collect Mr L’s present. No prizes for guessing that it is another guitar kit!
Back at the Old Chapel, we realised we had a couple of hours before dinner, so drove to Wells Beach, that we hadn’t quite reached on Sunday. It was funny to find that we had only needed to walk another five minutes and we would have been there! Never mind, despite the rain in the morning, the afternoon was beautiful and we spent a short while on the beach in front of the huts and also Imbibed at the newly refurbished cafe on the beach.
My main photo is reserved for friends. It still remains a constant joy and pleasure that the pledge Sarah and I made to remain friends no matter what, some 6 or 7 years ago has remained constant. We have both moved away, us further south, and her to Norfolk, and both experienced much change in our lives since then, but still make time to meet up when we can. We ate and chatted, ate more, laughed, ate even more, exchanged news of mutual friends and family, ate some more, and had a lovely evening. it really isn’t about how often you see friends, but how easy it is to be in each other’s company when you do see them.
Sarah and Tim, I know you will read this......Thank you for travelling to us, for a lovely evening, but most of all for being lovely friends.
