nine eleven
I'll never forget that fateful Tuesday morning.
Hubby, our daughters, and I had just arrived back home in Colorado at 2 am that morning on a red eye flight from my father's funeral the previous day in Baltimore.
I was already numb with grief and fatigue when I heard the news and turned on the TV to see the rest of the horror unfold.
I am so grateful for those men and women who choose to respond to disaster, and who choose to defend our country. It comforts me to see our local Air Force fighters in the sky above.
