A Stroll Around The Lake

We were up early to get to Kate & Sophie's in time to take Sophie to school. It felt like we'd no sooner got back to their place and had breakfast than it was time to walk back up the road to collect her.

However, as Sophie breathlessly explained, there had been time for her to do yoga, involving a move called banana split, draw a butterfly, discover which toy dinosaurs floated or sank, sing some songs, listen to her teacher read a story about owls and enjoy playing outside with another girl called Issy ("but she prefers Isabella"). It had been another exciting morning.

She still had the energy to play for an hour in the park before lunch although she was happy to spend the afternoon taking her LOL dolls for a cruise on her pirate ship and make and colour paper hats (assisted by Grandma) for her big dollies.

I took time to find the walk around a lake we'd been told about, at the far end of the estate their flat is on the border of. This is the view from the far side. Kate's flat is just to the right of the distant pylon.
