Hubcap in Silt
This morning started out foggy and I decided to walk down by the Thames near Kingston. The water was high after a period of heavy rain and the river had encroached into a pub car park. I wandered down to the waters edge and saw this silver hubcap lodged in the silt that had already built up on the tarmac. I liked the pattern of the silt, the sudden change in colour as the water deepens and the shining incongruity of the hubcap.
