Another lovely walk.

Last night we had a wonderful book club meeting, our host prepared such lovely eats and together with bubbly it all went down well and was a good evening. We did discuss the book :) and we also planned to go see the new Downton Abbey movie. 

We are lucky that we live in a well wooded area so there is a choice of different woods to walk a dog. This morning I went to some woods I had not yet taken Xena to, and it took ages to get from the car park to start walking as everyone comes over to talk to us and makes a fuss of her, which is lovely. Everyone loves a puppy, don't they? I met a woman who had a two year old female Vizsla, and we chatted for a while, and while we were talking we saw two dog walkers with a group of about seven Vizslas. It was a real Vizsla world at the woods today! Unfortunately I did not get a chance to talk to those walkers as I would like their number as they seem to be Vizsla specialists.

The heather is turning but I thought it was still looking lovely here. At the moment it is very dry so there is no mud about which is a bonus when out walking.

Other than that a quiet day at home catching up with chores. Today is our wedding anniversary but we will celebrate on Friday.

Meriel was offered the job that she interviewed for on Monday, which is good news. It's about time as she has been interviewed and messed about by the Civil Service for nearly a year now, but finally they got organised and have offered her something that looks very good.
