Steam day

The elders gave us the day off! They stayed at the holiday cottage in Stoke Gabriel with the dog so we could enjoy a steamy day out.

A steam train from Paignton to Kingswear and a trip on the river Dart on the Kingswear Castle, a steam driven paddle boat. The KC is the last Paddle Steamer operating in the World and dates from 1924, the steam engine which powers it dates from 1904..

We had a great day, full of fun sun and pasties!
