Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 130
Waiting for the Fish and Chip shop to open for a Twelfth Night nosh...
With a glass flat sea and unexpected early sun all thoughts of tripod shots in the dark will have to wait for a wintry monochrome morning. .
The beach is alive with packs of dogs - all the under the control of their conscientious owners. The novice rowers are out for "a pound a punt" row. A shiny new metal detector gets its first outing with its owner hoping to find the four wedding/engagement rings lost to the sands last summer. A sea kayaker rests on the beach, for a coffee, having paddled from Musselburgh via Cockenzie on what he called a wee trip before doing the DIY that his wife has prepared for him on his return. The stalwart Sunday "dookers" were also out in force - enjoying the flat calm sea.
