Dying Sun

As each day passes the sun's arc lowers imperceptibly, permitting less light and warmth to reach the flowers in the meadow and one by one they wilt. As if to echo the process, an ox-eye seems to form the shape of a sun drawn by a child, with failing rays emanating from a dying core.

Despite the glum interpretation, I had a blast today and had so many interesting images to choose between.

I liked this shot because of the graphic nature of the circle and vertical lines and the contrast of rough texture on a smooth background. The more I play with the macro lens, the more I'm enjoying soft out of focus shapes and the variety of shots I can make using selective focus.
