Hungarian monster putting on weight

The growth of the pumpkin plant that was raised from seed given to me by friends in Hungary has been rampant and difficult to retain within the confines of my allotment. (See extra photo). One of the fruits it has produced is growing at the rate of 4cm a day in the outside border and is engulfing all in its way including autumn crocuses that are just coming into flower.
