A bit of the Pennine Way

I escaped to the hills for an hour this afternoon and walked along the Pennine Way at Crowden towards Laddow Rocks.

40+ House Martins overhead  and Willow Warblers in the bracken and then a Ring Ouzel feasting on Rowan Berries and further along another Ring Ouzel feasting on different Rowan Berries  - it mayhave been the same Ring Ouzel but far enough apart that it may have been another  ( I'll call it 2)

I tried out walking poles on the return and I think it does help on the down hill sections.

It's been a long time since I walked that section it would be great to return when I had more time to take it easy and go further up to the top
