Down among the old boats
At Saltburn today where I’ve been trying out in-camera double exposure. It’s not an easy technique to get right and I ended up with a few I quite like (and a lot that I need to ditch), though this is my favourite. I felt I’d captured the abstract shapes and colours that make it good to look at. We were lucky that the sun came out this afternoon and made the blues sparkle. So this is the third technique I’ve tries out since Sunday’s photography meeting. It was raining this morning so I worked on an image taken at Pye Flatt Meadows in June which I chose because of it’s soft dreamy look (taken into the early morning sun) which I’ve enhanced with a mix of a texture layer, white layers and layer masks. It owes some of it’s editing to Sylvia Slavins contribution to the workshop last Sunday and also Irene Froy.
