Traveling in style

This is Gare Tanger Ville, with the high speed trains lined up on the right, bog standard country trains, including to Marrakech and Fes, on the left.

It's a very imposing place, particularly compared with Ibn Batouta Airport in Tangier.

Len and I walked the 400m or so up the road past Tanger City Mall and the 5* Hilton here to buy first class return tickets on the high speed train to Rabat on Thursday. The journey takes only one hour 20 minutes, the same as from Loughborough to St Pancras.

Hereafter, a lazy day. I am reading Herodotus, the histories. A walk by the sea later this afternoon.
