Cell Phone Tutorage
We went over to visit our friend Barb today as we hadn't seen her since Christmas when her son brought her to our place. It's quite a drive and sometimes we don't get over as often as we want to. She had nine of her bottom teeth removed this week and it's been a struggle to eat. She also showed me a terrible rash that was all around her midriff---first thing that came to mind was the dreaded shingles.
There were several things upsetting her and one was not knowing how to use her cell phone. Her son had given her an old one of his....first I had to find out if it was activated and if it had a number. Then I had to get the prepaid card uploaded. Then I drew her a diagram of what to push to reach her "contacts" and how to scroll down to select one and how to "call". After much practice she called my cell and success! Then I helped her locate a check missing...things were in so many places, but I found it. She settled down then.
Made her a grilled cheese with tomato soup. I cut the sandwich into many wee pieces. She was delighted and was able to eat it. Topped it all off with a rootbeer float. Big R then returned from taking the hooligans down to the waterfront dog park near her. We left her then with our set of season one Downton Abbey. A good day:) I wish we lived closer to her.
