Had a nice bush walk this morning with Lucy, before it got too hot (was still very warm though - it must be hard being a chocolate labrador in this country; she pants non-stop!)

More X-rated insect action I'm afraid... and see here for a bit more of these Common Brown Butterflies (including them sitting on my finger!).

This would have been a great shot if I hadn't just missed the edge of the males wing off - very annoying! But the female only opened her wings for a fraction of a second, so I didn't have time for a perfect composition!
I think the blue banded bee has been sent to torment me... it landed on the lemon balm flowers just now - and then was off before I even reached for my camera. One day...
