first zoom

Henny Penny helped with the unboxing of my very first non-kit lens.  She says, you realise you'll never be able to take a pic of that kingfisher with this, but I suppose it will do for chickens.

It's fitting the lens came today as today is also my first sale on a micro-stock photography site.  Such a tiny sale but it's enough to imagine that it is worth my time to learn more about this photography lark.  Although, I won't be investing any more money in it until I have a better understanding of how everything works.  I've hit my budget so it either needs to make money to pay for itself or wait until next spring when the hobby budget renews.
